1 injured and another man killed in an accident in Queens

Suffolk County, NY, residents might have heard about a recent accident that took the life of one man and injured another. In cases like these, there are often allegations of driving while intoxicated, and this can result in a ruined reputation. These allegations can't be taken lightly. If you ever find yourself in a similar circumstance, you may want to seek legal guidance.

According to the report from Nov. 30, the violent accident happened when two cars collided at an intersection. The driver of the car believed to cause the accident is a 23-year-old man who was heading south on 98th Street in Howard Beach. According to the news, he ran his 2006 Ford sedan into a 2009 Saturn driven by a 39-year-old man and holding a 37-year-old male passenger.

The accident took place at around 1 a.m., according to police, and it resulted in a the 23-year-old man's car catching fire after he hit the Saturn and ploughed through a stone partition. The man allegedly got out of the vehicle and said that the other driver had cut him off at the stop light, but a witness reported that there were no lights at that particular intersection.

Police reported that the 39-year-old man and his passenger were both taken to the hospital, but the 39-year-old driver had to be given CPR at the scene and passed away. The 37-year-old male passenger was allegedly in stable condition following the accident. Police reported that they took the 23-year-old male to the hospital as well, because he was also in serious condition following the accident. His blood was drawn for a blood alcohol test, because police believed he appeared drunk at the scene of the accident. Police say that charges are pending against the man at this time.
